I would think this would be huge news.... And yet... Nary a peep.

I've always voted Republican but like I've said before, I am not a George Bush fan. Nothing surprises me but if what you say is true, it's a little too late. It's time for all of us to move on and hope that the next president will make us a great nation once again.

I've always considered myself a Republican as well. I believe in Freedom, LESS Government, Personal Responsability, and Power to the People!!!
Unfortunately... Bush has stripped our Constitution more than ever for greedy and illegal personal and corporate reasons.
YUP, all the media IS controlled by only 2-3 huge mega firms, Disney is one of them, Viacom, some other mogal media........somebody help me out here but my democrat friends know 'em all by name.
YUP, no bad press, 1984, "Double plus good"........I love that Eurythmics song.
They're getting even for Clinton and we all know how horribly impeachment ruined his career.
I expect impeaching Presidents to be the next fad. After a few administrations impeachment will be a badge of honor and then the pendulum will swing the other way.
So my ultimate response is - So what? It's not like elected lawyers have anything else to do.
I would think this would be huge news.... And yet... Nary a peep.

These are my three key indicators for judging a president:
1. Foreign Policy
2. Economy
3. National Security
Foreign Policy Grade: D - we do not need the U.N. but we do need reliable allies. Aside for Israel and Great Britain he has done nothing to expand in this area. He has unusually close ties to the Saudis for personal financial gain. Why did we invade Iraq again? More importantly, we are we still there? Afghanistan I understand because of 911 and Al-Queda. I'm tired of us having to "police" the world but something needs to be done in Darfur. Bush condemns the regime but does nothing because we need their "intelligence" on Al-Queda. It's important for me to reiterate that I SUPPORT OUR TROOPS ALWAYS! We learned nothing from the Soviet invasion of Afghanistan and we are making the same mistake in Iraq. Iraq was better off with Saddam.
Grade on Economy: C - aside for the ridiculous stimulus check we ARE in a recession. I don't blame him entirely because Congress should have passed tougher restrictions on imported goods. American companies no longer want to invest in our country for cost reasons BUT we do not get a break on the finished product when it's shipped back here to the U.S. Foreign investors are slowly but surely stealing chunks of our nation, sending their profits back home.
National Security - B No further terrorist attacks to date (thank god). Would have received an A if Bin-Laden was dead.

I think your grade on the economy is way too generous!
