Attended a charity event last night at Ron's shop, and met Ron. He has a great shop, lots a of nice cars (the Enzo was sweet but I would have shit a brick if I saw people sitting/leaning on it). Very cool place, lots of nice cars (most of them are orange), and Ron is a very genuine guy (not nut swinging, it is just a fact) who did a great job with the event.
It was an awesome event! the food was excellent form the various resturants in Chicago. Ron was very cool. Looking fwd to the car show on Saturday! I have pics of the Enzo and batmobiles I will post up later.
It was a fantastic night and we raised over 100,000.00 for Childrens Memorial.
I honestly cant believe I pulled last night off. To take a very busy bodyshop and basically convert it to a nightclub is insane. Besides the small fire department issue it went off without a hitch. The band was great, the food was fantastic and the booze was flowing. All in all makes for a great night. We had a live auction that raised about 30k. It would have raised more but Radta stopped bidding on the Enzo ride at $2400...PUSS!
Glad to know that you had a waterwall...I thought it was just me and the alcohol for what I was seeing
Nah, it was the booze!
Seriously, that sounds awesome! Ron, what was the name of the tv show that covered the event so I know what to look for? Anytime you raise coin for charities, that's very cool!
Lookin' forward to see you all at the car show tomorrow!

Waterfall was awesome!
As for the bidding.... No excuses. The winner did tell me he was prepared to go much higher than I would have over a post raffle drink. The raffle was for the Enzo to take your child to school on the first day of school.

I wasn't sure as I had not eaten since breakfast...and 3 Blue Moon's within about 45 minutes on an empty stomach I was feeling pretty good. It was a great night, had fun...as it seems everyone did.

Once again, THANK YOU, THANK YOU for coming.
Think I'd rather have a ride in that Keaton batmobile.
