We just spent a week at the Spring Creek Ranch. The Amangani is on the ranch property. It does have the best views of the Tetons. It is about 5 minutes from Jackson Hole, you can't walk to town, but a very nice property. There is the Grannery Bar about 100 feet from the lobby that has the best views in Wyoming. The hotel sits on top of a 1800 foot hill that seperates Jackson Hole from the Tetons. I would recommend the property.

I have had employee retreats a few times in Big Sky - absolutely amazing place... Beats the shit out of Denver in my opinion...

Would love to get a cabin there or something - just doubt it would get much use if I had to fly in to use it every time...

You will absolutely love it... For entertainment - among other things - take the 3 hour drive to yellowstone - and rent 4 wheelers - was awesome and great going up in the mountains... Wyoming, from a 'get away' perspective, I think is one of the lower 48 treasures - you'll love it...!

You'll get the itch though - and start to try and figure out how to get a vacation place there... Trust me...

My grandparents have a cabin on the Idaho and Wyoming boder. That area is incredible. I also stayed at Teton Mountain Lodge (in Jackson) back in Feb. which was really nice. I don't know anything about that place but it looks pretty good.
