A suggestion watch Batman Begins Before seeing the Dark Knight (most people will have forgotten all the tie ins). They sure blew by not have Katie Homes as the leading lady!
Well, I don't want to be a dissenter, but I believe it was overhyped. It wasn't nearly as "dark" as I thought it would be based on all the reviews. It was definitely entertaining and I guess if you're a "Batman" fan, it was probably great, but I was hoping for a much more sinister movie. I don't think that Heath Ledger would have received the same accolades if he were still alive. It is well deserving of the PG-13 rating and if they had left the "R-rated" parts in, I guess I would have enjoyed it more. Maybe I'm way out there, who knows?
I would still recommend seeing it as one of the better movies out there, but it's not as "intense" as I had hoped it would be based on all the reviews.
Finally saw it last night, wow, unbelievably good. You hear how good Ledger was, but until you see it you don't realize just how good he was, his performance was insane. Now I know what this "pencil" scene was everyone talked about
