Like shot gun willie, I to will be traveling overseas. I am going to south Korea at the end of the month... we will be staying in Seoul for a while and then over to the beach at Gangneung...
Koreans in the US haven't developed the advanced alcohol tolerance that the Koreans in Korea have developed. It is embedded in Korean culture to drink excessively for whatever excuses can be conjured up.
In Seoul, don't attempt to drive. It's not worth it and the taxi/bus/subway system is great.
Overall, Koreans are very tolerant of Westerners as long as you aren't too arrogant or disrespectful. Have fun.

Any advice, or do's and dont's?
Mike,
business or pleasure? Too bad you aren't going to Singapore. That would be a BLAST! Aside from the usual - drink bottled water, etc...I would prepare myself for the time difference. I think they're about 12-13 hours ahead of us. I vacationed in the Pacific Rim area a few years go and really had a good time but kept falling asleep during the day (their local time).
I'm loving the Orange Viper I bought from you and thanks again for the excellent service. I kinda miss the '06 also
If you are going there by yourself, you'll have great time. go to highend roomsalons and clubs. you'll find lots of hot girls to take back to hotel with.
