Well I just hung up with Herr Pemberton and our intrepid Rocman now has 10 minutes seat time. I wonder what's going through his head the first 10 minute in that car. The power, the handling, that new car smell? Well it just may be the fucking thunderstorm that is chasing him! Bill literally got Roc in and out in minutes to beat the storm, I'll look forward to the report "how I broke in my '08 ACR at 150 mph"
According to Woodhouse this is their 4th ACR delivery and the about 20th overall, probably gonna be the 1st in Cali to match sundiego's 1st '08 Coupe record. Oh and for those of you waiting for ACR's

Betamax will make a comeback!
I just got off the phone with Roc, he's ahead of the storm He said the ACR looks unbelievably menacing and he is causing a traffic problem from all the rubber neckers. He said the car actually rides great on the hwy. and the seats are so comfortable he thought they were tailored for him.
Thanks for the updates. Can't wait to hear his driving impressions! Until I receive my ACR...probably sometime in October....I have to live vicariously through others.
Well, I put 400 miles on the beast. I hit empty at 200 miles, and now at 400, I have half a tank, so it is already starting to run better.
First impressions.
The car looks unbelievable in person. It looks like pure sin driving down the road. It is at factory ride height, and I have not scraped anything at all. The carbon fiber aero look incredible. Beautiful weave, and on a black car, it looks surprisingly good. It takes the bumps very well. It does drive stiff, BUT it does not bounce at all. The car is incredibly sure footed. It reminds me of my old FGT. It still tracks, but nothing like my 06 did. The leather is higher quality than my 06, and the seats seem to form around you better.
I had them install a 1" lowering kit, and it makes a world of difference. I was very comfortable for the 400 mile drive that we did in about 5 hours. I did not push it much, but there were a couple times I hit the gas to pass someone, and this thing freakin pulls like a freight train. Feels sooooo much stronger than the 06.
One bit of disappointment was that I ordered the Hardcore package, and I did not get it. Bill thinks we updated the order too late, or they just screwed up. I thought it was weird when I put my luggage in the trunk and I saw carpet.
Tomorrow, I will put another 500 miles on it. So far, so good.
I did take pictures, but I have my MacBook with me, and it does not take SD cards. I will try to pick up an SD card reader while I am out.
Oh, I did beat the storm. Got a little rain, so the car looks like poop now.

I do feel very fortunate to actually have it, so that is why I am not fussing too much about the hardcore package missing. I am actually more excited about this car than I was with my FGT (sorry my FGT brothers).
It's funny to watch all the people on the hwy. You can see them doing double takes and adjusting their mirrors to see as I pull up to them. When I was fueling up, one guy actually knew what it was and took some pics.
BTW, do you know how you know when you are in hillbilly land? When the people working at the local Wendys has only 1 tooth. Fuuuuuuuck!
I like how they sum up the 08 ACR, " $10,000 per cylinder. "
Pictures here to appease the masses, while Mr "SD chip don't fit in my laptop" is sleeping at the Motel 6 because they left the porch light on for him. Bet Roc gets up every hour to stare out the window at his big wing. he heh.
