So it's been deemed unconstitutional to reject renting a place to someone because of illegal status. I heard it on news radio today but could not find any link online yet.
I rent out to people, and I will openly reject anybody with any sort of illegal status (whether it be an illegal immigrant or a known felon). I believe this ruling affects my personal and financial safety.
So, since this is unconstitutional about a status of a person it would have to be based on discrimination, and in turn wouldn't it just open to flood gates for more rights of illegal immigrants? I only assume it is just a matter of time before the right to vote cannot be withheld for status of being an illegal immigrant.
I truly hope this BS stops. Illegals are criminals, plain and simple. The only thing they deserve is the right to a fair and speedy....transport out of this country.
It is illegal to employ an illegal, correct? So how are the illegals expected to pay for rent? Are we pushing them into stealing or are we pushing them into jobs that sidestep taxes and are under the table? I know over the past seven years our government has shown it's self to really have their stuff together and seem to be a few steps ahead of all of us stupid people. I just wonder in their absolute brilliance really see this one ending.
Please don't say that it is a unified North America because it is really looking more and more like that is where we are being steered.

Do you or do you not ever read links that people put up???
Have you guys ever read the links I put up talking about the NORTH AMERICAN TRADE AGREEMENT!!!!!!!!!!!!
You know...
The law that the Supreme Figure head of one of the most corrupt terms of office ever in the history of our country ILLEGALY SIGNED INTO BEING!!!!!!!!!!!!
Do some diggin fella's........................
We are being herded in a direction that to be honest.... sucks.
I have read many of the links KF and find it appalling the direction we are going in as a country.
For over 12 years, we have been told by NAFTA's champions to be patient, that NAFTA's great benefits were just around the corner. We are still waiting. The time for a continent-wide debate over the future of this agreement, which was negotiated by and for the rich and powerful in all three countries, is now overdue.
Both parties are trying to recruit the Hispanic voter (surprisingly moreso republicans than democrats) so what you think as a taxpayer doesn't mean shit. Like it or not, it is the truth.
Totally open borders this many years after 911 show we are not really serious about homeland security or illegal immigration.
You do not have to rent to them if their credit check is not up to your standards. They don't have credit? Adios, amigos.
Credit doesn't see skin color or green cards. It is a great way for predicting future behavior. If someone is illegal, has a tax number(which they can, not an ss #) and has a good credit score and good previous references I am happy to rent to them.

Fear pandering always loses out to the bottom line. During an election, we'll hear all kinds of wild sh*t that will attempt to sway us one way or another.

It's your property and you have the right to rent or refuse renting to anyone you choose!!
I need to run for the Senate or maybe Governor of Texas!!!
All the Illegals caught running the border would have to give three months hard labor(building a fence) This would help with the cost of building a fence to secure our borders and deture other people from crossing illegally. I'm not against Immigration. I'm against people thinking they are above the law and not paying for the freedoms and privleges they enjoy.
Oh I understand I have the right to refuse renting to anyone I choose, and I'm fine with not having the right to SAY I refuse renting because of age, sex, or race but I'm fucking livid that I cannot say I refuse because of illegal status. Even if I did deny someone housing because of age, sex, or race I would never SAY that (as I could be sued), but I'll be god damned if I'm not gonna spit in an illegal immigrants face and tell him that I would never rent to him strictly because he is in our country illegally (however, now I can be sued for that as well).
Unless I can work out some finders fee deal with Immigration officials, I may not do to well in the few decades of liberally run idiots making these sort of decisions with rental rights.
