28-23.........Spurs aren't going away easily! However I was encouraged with the 1st quarter.

I was only joking last game about the refs, this game not so much. All the calls/missed calls are going SAS's way

Still up by six at hald ain't bad considering the foul trouble.

Its rough but its nice to see them playing through it instead of constant whining like a certain member here likes to say

The Spurs just look old and flat.........honestly with as bad as the calls have been the Lakers should be up by 20, but what can you do.

That was the most frustrating game so far. The officiating was horrible up to the end. I will say they all went the Spurs way up until that last play........poetic justice. I dunno, Lakers haven't been seriously tested though this year which kind of scares me if they get into a long series with Boston or Detroit..........I thought the Spurs would give them a good gauge of where they are but really besides Game 3, they haven't really shown much life and are just sitting there taking punches.

OK Josh. The Spurs are down three one. Game two was a blow out. Every other game has been down to the wire, except the blowout in game three for the Spurs. How is this not a challenge?

I did like the way the Spurs handled the Fisher foul at the end of the game. They said it was a good no call. Again, didn't bitch, moan, etc...

It looks like this will be a LA/Boston finals. As flat as the Spurs look, I just can't see them taking two in LA

The Spurs have looked tired. Even though every game besides 1 was close, besides the 1 the Spurs won, they have looked a step slower the entire time.

Also Bowen did an amazing lockdown job on Bryant AGAIN..........holding the man to 28 points on just under 50%(14-29) shooting...........definitely better defense than offense for sure!

Their apparent slowness has more to do with not taking Game 5 in NO to finish the series in 6. They are older and could have used the rest the Lakers got before the WCF. Blowing a 20 point lead in Game 1 will turn out to be the crucial issue in the series. I don't think the Spurs can win it.

Bowen has not done a good job on Kobe at all in this series. Udoka has not done well in giving Bowen a rest either. We are just the slower team in this series all the way around. It is really bad to see three great players not get any support at all from their bench. Manu had another terrible game, and we would have been slaughtered had it not been for Brent Barry.

Its a lot easier to defend Kobe when the entire team can lock down on him and not really worry about anyone else. I think the biggest different is they can't rotate as much help Bowen's way and he is getting exposed for how old and slow he really is. Its not rocket science, everyone outside San Antonio already knew this.............

Funny story on Barry. A friend of mine owns a tire/wheel shop here, and the Spurs hang out there all the time. Well, I was there and saw a blue/white strip Mini Cooper pulling in. Barry was driving and Duncan got out of it too. Barry is probably the cheapest guy alive to preface this story. Well, Barry starts haggling with the shop on the cost of Konig's for the Mini. I think they were about 120 a rim. He decided to pass for the record as they were too expensive. While he was down looking at the cars in the shop, Duncan ordered a set of the green rhinestone spinners in 22's for the Mini...a 5000 dollar practical joke to play on Barry. A few weeks later, I was down to get some Pirellis put on the coupe, and Duncan had his Mini and they were putting on the spinners. Barry showed up to get his car from Duncan and it was truly one of the funnier things I have seen.

About two years ago, I was at a light at 1604 and 281 when five enormous black guys jump out of a green Range Rover and they all took off right for my car (I was behind them). I just said fuck, locked the doors, and reached for my pistol. Turns out, it was Duncan, Malik, Elliot, Parker, and one guy I couldn't recognize. They were playing Chinese fire drill at a major intersection.

That is why I am a fan of the Spurs. These guys are all out in the community, doing the right thing, and are all truly good people. Just big kids really and seem to all enjoy eachother. I have talked with Bowen a thousand times, and he is a good guy as well. I busted Parker's ass in his little 996 TT, and that was a good time. My seats are right next to Eva's, and she is about as down to earth as they come. Sean Elliot, the retired Spur who commentates now, is one of the largest collectors of M series cars, and has multiple 911 TT cars making decent power. They are all car guys it seems. Win or lose, I am a Spurs guy.
