I was also considering the E55 as a daily ride. I only drive 5 miles to work. But the need to always get to my business no matter what the weather made a vehicle with 4 wheel drive more desirable. I have been considering the Audi RS4 and S6. They are all wheel drive and have 420-560 hp. I stopped by the dealer on Rockville Pike and liked the looks of the cars. I have not gone for a test drive yet.

They're nice cars, but for almost the same money, you can get an SL, CL, or S class. The SL is definately a weekend car, while the others are not so much. Also, consider the CLS55 since it is built on the same chassis as the E.

The S class is by far my fav. I've had the C and E class but love the S. Tons of room for my big ass...lol

I wouldn't consider E-class as weekend car. I would more preper SL or CL from benz line. Last body CL's used car price is great and tons of them out there.

I've had the E55, E63 and have the S63 now for a DD.
You won't regret any of these...but for a fun car that is seldom driven, there are better choices.

after owning a cl65, a s65, a e55 and a sl55 i can honeslty say they are all amazing rides to drive but not to own.

they are the worst depreciating car in the history of automobilia.

No doubt, i wouldn't buy a new one with Krazy's money...

But a used 05-06' CL65 for under $70k is fucking money considering it was on the lot for near $200k.

i just sold my 06 cl65 for 68 or so and a 06 3000 mile s65 for 80. these were both north of 180 less than two years ago. a buddy just bought a 07 sl65 for 115

Might have something to do with the fact that they are "bit" overpriced to begin with. Let the first owner take the hit and then buy one, laughing all the way to the bank.
