Ive owned 2 E55's and several other AMG's (currently looking at a 05' CL65). Simply put, the best cars Ive ever owned.. You can drive them anywere in comfort and style. But when tested, they will run with a stock Viper, all day long. Reliability is pretty decent. You get a message light from time to time. But they are overall very reliable cars.. (Stay away from an 03'-04'). Go for at least an 05-06.. The earlier ones had IC pump and other issues attached.

I do agree 100%, with Zen.. AMG products depreciate like tanks. And book values mean squat.. Buy LOW... Look at the wholesale market, and base your offers according to that.. If you go buy a CPO at a dealer. You'll be flipped $15k, the moment you drive it off the lot.
