if i was you id keep this car. one day it will be a nice collectors item and selling it now means you will never get what you paid for it. especially with...
Apparently he didn't read where the guy won the car......
I'm sorry, I'll be the first one to say it. I think it's bullshit that someone WON a car during a Raffle and what do they do, put the thing up for sale almost immediately? Can't stand people like that. Seems like they were more interested in the money then getting the car that they signed up for.... We call them "douchebags and fags". You want money, go to Vegas and leave the car raffles for people that actually want the car. Hope that's not you loster!!!
They sell the car on e-bay but are still responsible for the taxes....correct? So if the car sells for $95K they have to fork out around 40% in taxes on that? So if that percentage is correct then they walk away with somewhere around $58-60K. If they keep the car they just got a car that should hold its value for some time for about $37K in paying the taxes? Shit...I would just keep the car!

You have to pay the taxes prior to picking the car up and the value used for the taxes is not what the winner sells the car for, but the pre-established retail value of the vehicle.

Not that it matters but it seems that since it is sitting in their driveway that the taxes have probably been paid. Still seems that it may be better to hold onto the car...

Thank you Obe Wan Konobe for filling us on that...
