Nick Hogan threw himself at the mercy of the judge today in Tampa in his felony reckless driving case -- and he got just a lil' bit. Hogan was sentenced to eight months in jail, five years' probation and 500 hours community service, and the judge yanked his license for three years.
That kid was driving the supra before he even had a learner's permit. Yanking his license isn't going to do crap unless he actually learned his lesson.

I thought his license was yanked for 4...?
I wouldn't call that a lil bit, i wouldn't call that a lot, I would call it just right. I didnt think he got jail time and not sure how much 8 months will teach him.
I normally don't like to blame parents too much because we are all responsible for our own actions, but Hulkester is definitely somewhat responsible in my eyes.
His son has not shown even a hint that he has any special at talent at driving. In fact, his son has shown that he doesn't have a natural feel for cars at all which should be a big green light not to give him high performance vehicles to drive. The guy was (is?) 16 years old. He had more than 1 $15k + watch. 2 or 3 very high performance vehicles, and could do anything he wanted. When you give somewhat that age (whose brain isn't fully developed ) access to that kind of stuff it is a recipe for disaster, and IMO shit is bound to happen.

I still have minimal sympathy for his friend. Dumb fucker didn't have a seatbelt on. IMHO you get what comes to you when you don't wear a belt. Stupid hurts. I guarandamntee you he was a willing participant in the event.
