The dog's owners need to be shot. Not only do they allow their dog to be killed by a direct result of their negligence but then they do this:
The Munthes have filed a $2,400 countersuit against Ely for the cost to buy Fester, the time they had to take off work for court appearances, and the cost of buying a dog to replace Fester.

Agreed: Why in the fuck would you let your dog off the leash on a busy street in front of your house?? Both lawsuits are BS. There is no way that dog caused that much damage unless he was going 30mph or faster. The dumbasses that let the dog off the leash are trying to sue him for the replacement of their dog?!?! LOL, thats pretty fucking ignorant.
Reminds me of the guy who broke into someones house to rob them and he broke his leg in the process. After all the BS he sued the homeowners for his medical bill, pain and suffering etc...and won. WTF??

Did you receive the wire of 2 million dollars from Prince Fashnuck's compatriot yet?
This case already HAS been done on People's Court. Not same dog, though. Bottom line - The owner of the Dog is responsible, and should be. There is a thing call a 'Leech Law'. The owner of the dog was negligent. And I don't feel $1,100 is out of whack. A typical bumper on an average car cost this to replace. $300-$600 for bumper, $200 to paint, $300 in labor, + fasteners/disposal/environmental fees, etc... Yes, I feel sorry for the Dog + Owner. And I am a dog lover. But why should the driver of the car lose $1,100? He did nothing wrong, assuming he was following the traffic laws. Open and shut case...

Yes, there is a thing called the 'Leech Law' but I think that only applies to folks posting on the .Morg who refuse to pay their VCA dues.
