Absolutely. I went to VOI9 in Vegas and had a blast. At least 10 of us from the KC VCA have already booked our rooms and registered for the event. It should be a great time.
There are lots nicer places in the country for a VOI than Detroit. If not for it's position as the Motor City and home of the Viper, I would never go there.
However, I did attend VOI #1 in my black '93 with about 207 other Viper owners. We had a tour of New Mack Rd. assembly plant, a car show and dinner at the home of John and Matilda Dodge (Meadowbrook Hall) a 60+ mile caravan out to MIS for a parade lap and to catch the IndyCar race, and BBQ in the parking lot of the Chrysler Technology Center. It was definitely cool as hell to meet all the original Team Viper members, plus Lutz, Gale, Sjoberg, Castaing and many others. One of the most memorable things that occurred was the rain storm that hit CTC during the panoramic photo shoot. Most of us had never had our cars rained on before then and a large number had never had their top and side windows out of the bag and on their cars. People were paying from $20 to $100 a pop to anyone who could assemble the top and get it on their car!

$895 if you are a VCA member. That includes all the events, shuttle to and from the hotels for the events, meals, etc. It's really a good deal considering what you get. Plus, it's just a great time.

That's just for one person for the event. If you bring a guest, that's another $895, but they get to do all the same events, get the same meals, etc.
The hotel will run you $250/night, but they are brand new hotel/casinos. Supposed to be really nice. You'll need a hotel room for 4 nights (Wednesday-Sunday).
So if you come by yourself, it will be around $1900 + airfare. Bring your wife/girlfriend and it's closer to $2800 + airfare.
They only do these once every two years, so if you miss it, it's going to be a while before they have another one.
