Obama's pastor (a man of God) talks about the white man as being the devil. Obama distances himself of this because it would affect his chances of winning the democratic nomination. So I just get through reading that more black pastors are speaking up for Obama...so that made me wonder as to just what color God actually is?
I have not read (personally) of any pastors of any other color than those who are black speaking up for any of the candidates on either side...including Obama. I may be wrong, and if I am that is fine. I just find it very interesting that it seems the color of ones skin is more important than the fact that they are of the cloth. If the article would have stated "Pastors support Obama" and left out the fact that they were of any color that it may carry some value to me. Slapping race/color to the pastors to me makes this nothing but a race issue...and not because Obama is the best person.
Growing up I was taught that God sees no colors, that everyone is the same in his eyes. So...is there a black God for black people...a white God for white people, etc? Is a black pastor better than any other pastor, and what is that supposed to mean in the world of politics?

Your question is hard to answer since God is a spirit. I don't know what color(s) they may be. But regarding the media- it's all a biased circus designed only to elicit an emotional response from unthinking folks. If you notice all the reporting is a sensational description of one side of an issue. Both sides are never reported because then you might come to a logical conclusion, which must be avoided at all costs.
The media( political) agenda is simply to keep everyone focused on the things that make good gossip but resolve no problems. It's the American Idol mentality carried out in everyday life. All the media seems intent on outdoing the National Enquirer at their own game, idiocy. Keep everyone divided against each other over nothing while the country goes to hell in a handbasket is the order of the day.
The color of a person's skin is meaningless regarding their character. Don't judge by appearances but consider all the facts of an issue, although you may have to dig a little to find the other side of what is reported.
Remember Rome's bread and circuses? Same thing applies to the US now.
If God were a human he would be white. Melanin, which creates skin color when oxidized turns brown. The hole purpose of melanin is to capture uva and uvb so it doesn't reach the dermis. In short the color protects us from the sun. God would not need to protect himself from that which he created. This is if you take the Bible for what it states.

That man and his views are a poor representation of what a man of God should be. He takes the true gospel message and mixes it with his own view points and attacks. He changes scriptures around to make them say what he wants them to say. Which is why Obama is distancing himself from Rev. Wright, and in this case not much different from others pushing a view point.
Whatever color you are or where you came from ect... the central message is Jesus (God saves) died for any and everyone for the sake of restoring what was originally lost in all who will put their trust in Him by choice.
To answer the actual question, God is a Spirit and has no gender or specific color. For those wondering what you do in Heaven forever without getting bored consider this. In Heaven you still learn but at a much faster higher rate then here since limitations are taken away. Everytime you advance to a new level, you'll see God in a better clearer light, this process will go on forever because there's no end to His glories or Wisdom.
These bodies we live inside of are animated by US which is the spirit thats inside of them at conception where God writes His presence and laws on the heart of every person, making evil a choice not a necessity.

No. Obama is distancing himself from Wright because he knows he has to if he wants to win. Obama still believes all the BS Wright preached to him for 20 years. But now there are some whities in Iowa, Wisconsin, etc. that are second guessing their Obama vote and Obama can't afford to lose them.

I agree with all of that except I believe God is a perfected being of flesh and bone, and HE too has a spirit just like we all do. We were created in his likeness.

I figured a guy named Casper would peg God to be white for sure.
