Yes it was. That K9 is ALSO in law enforcement and charges like animal cruelty should be least of his worries.

K9's not only perform specific tasks but they also protect the officers that they ride with. They would unconditionally jump in front of a bullet to protect their partner. The guy should be hung like the scum that he is.

Hurting an animal without just cause (to me this is to eat or self defense of your person) is just terrible. Hell, I would not even kill a little mouse that ran into my house and got a humane trap. I know, call me a wuss or the like but I LOVE animals. This cop needs to have peanut butter spread on his nuts and have the dog teeth it off for him.
