Maybe IL will now be like MN and raise taxes since obviously every bridge in IL needs to be examined and possibly replaced... And if you are really lucky - they'll propose a highway useage fee, based on the # of miles you drive, to apply the appropriate fee to you... Ya know - since 50% is not enough...
On a side note - I think I read some fact the other year - that the only state in the US that does not experience earthquakes is Florida...
Uhmmmm, I don't fucking thing so! I think we are one of the highest taxed states in the country, there are fee's for everything, toll roads, taxed higher for this and not for that for some of the most fucked up roads that always seem like as soon as they are done fixing them they start tearing them up all over again.
Near Chicago there are 2 seasons for the year (not 4), winter and road construction.
I experienced my only earthquake back in April or May of 1999. I was in a hotel room in the Philippines with 3 girls when one of them noticed the room moving a bit.. (seriously)
That only thing IL does better than CA is freeze your balls off.
And we can modify the shit outta our cars, and have many guns, and we do not have CARB, and a house that you pay $700k for, goes for $100k here, and we are still America instead of Mexico. Shall I continue?

We laugh at 5.4s, when ya get a 7.1 let me know........if ya can
That is exactly why I live in Illinois. I don't want to experience any earthquake bigger than a 5.4. Besides I slept through it. Now here in the next couple months I will be sitting out on the deck to watch tornados go by care to join me?
Between fires and earthquakes you all are nuts. You know one of these days Cali. is going to fall into the ocean don't you.

Add onto that wildfires, mud slides, and damn near every bad thing that can happen to your freedoms and rights.
