Good Idea! Even though I don't know Mark Personally,I would much rather send him a check than the Government!

Either Biggsie has a shitty accountant, or you are in the wrong line of work.

I'd be thrilled to hear your wisdom for the ages, oh ye of minimal experience. I can assure you my team is not shitty, however there is only so much you can do, and most of that involves deferral, not reduction of tax.

I have learned not to argue with "The Biggest" on tax/money issues. He handed me my ass in a thread months back. He gave solid advice, especially with the market being where it is now. When I bring up his points to other people, they all give the "that can't be right" look. Yet, when explained, it makes total sense.
So now I just read these threads and don't post
.

I do ok... but my gut feeling is Biggs yearly nut has a couple more digits than mine does, significant ones at that.

Is one nut bigger than the other, or does he only have one?

Every single item you purchase is taxed in one form or another. Occasionally, some items are double taxed. If one could keep a running tally through the year of every penny that was spent and what amount went to taxes, I would be willing to bet that (all forms of) taxation would be over 50% of one's income.
