March 29 EliteXC and Strikeforce are putting on a show in the Bay Area.
I'll be there live, but for those of you that are not in the San Jose, CA area, check Showtime for the fights. Live on the East Coast, tape delayed on the West Coast.
2 of my friends are fighting - Cung Le in the main event, and one of the fighters I sponsor - Anthony Figueroa in the first undercard fight.
The card has been changing over the past week, but the latest is below:
EliteXC/Strikeforce: "Shamrock vs Cung Le"

Darren Uyenoyama vs. Anthony Figueroa
I saw Cung Lee fight in San Jose about 2 years ago, and saw his last fight on Tv. That guy kicks serious ass! It's definitely going to be a battle against Shamrock. I'll be there!
Denny, UFC is addicting to watch. I am a huge fan. I always loved boxing, watching boxing, etc...but the development in those fights is terribly slow. That is definitely not the case in the UFC. My Dad secretly likes it too. I have several friends that love watching it, but their wives think it is barbaric, so they sneak off to watch it. Incredible athletes, dishing and taking huge punishment....fucking awesome stuff.
This card is going to be great! Look for Cung Le to kick the sh't outta Frank Shamrock and then watch Shamrock talk about Shamrock's next "big" fight. Frank's a tool.
Mark have a great time at the fight!
Brady, I hear you on the sneaking off to watch the fights bit.
THAT'S WHY I INVITE EVERYBODY OVER TO MY HOUSE!
My wife thinks it's barbaric, but hey, I'm hostin'.
I got hooked 2 years ago. Went to Tito/Chuck in vegas over new years. That was the most insane sporting event I've ever been to. It's literally like a duke/unc basketball game type intensity, but over 4 hours. I finally nutted up and bought front row floors to the fight in Columbus. We were right at the exit of the cage. EVERY fighter, win or lose, was shaking hands with fans and taking pictures as they left. I don't know any sport that allows you to get this close with the athletes. It's like they've all gone to dana white coaching school on marketing. We were able to shake hands with all the fighters. I took my best friends and two women. Two of them went the year before in columbus, but we sat in the upper deck. They were shocked at sitting that close. You get a whole new respect for it. When you hear how hard these guys hit each other, it just makes you cringe. I highly suggest saving up and buying some very very close seats for at least one PPV. It is money well spent.
The only thing that made me uncomfortable was the ring girls raping me with their eyes. I felt so violated.
