Shit company, and shit owner. Quite a few owners (the ones that were lucky enough to not get screwed and actually take delivery) were not impressed with the final build of the car on delivery, and considering what they cost I'd be fucking pissed too. Some people put up 150-200K and the car builds were never started. One guy I talked to that did take delivery, had another shop fix some stuff, and now really loves the car. One of the biggest mistakes Unique did was keep taking deposits to start cars when they were already seriously backlogged and way, way behind schedule yet give false turn times to buyers.
Honestly, majority of time your paying for the name, very few have the quality and build your paying for, Trepanier comes to mind (his work is 2nd to none). There are so many good unknown/mom and pop shops that can do a Pro Touring sttyle build thats incredible for way less $$ then big name shops.
Seems like an arrogant prick after reading that thread Cobra. This is why it took me almost 3 years to do my Camaro and I tried to do it right. I probably should not have thrown out every nut and bolt but the only way to do it right was to start with a clean slate.
