At first I want to say "Yeah right!!!", but then I remembered they already took away my right to bear arms here in good ol' Cali, and thats in the Constitution. :
Hopefully the Supreme court will take care of this, when they rule on District of Columbia Vs Heller, then maybe we can tell some of the Anti Gunner's to go pound Sand!
The sad thing is all the money in the world isn't going to help John G. I guess it will make his families life better when they can go buy a new car while he sits in the hospital
Fuck the hogans right up the asshole. I hope they wind up on the streets.
I'm worried over the precedent set by the outcome of these high profile fast car incidents. Some sleazy politician or lawyer will try to make modifying a car for the purpose of increased speed illegal. Take a look at some other countries. If you have so much as a K&N filter on the car, it's considered modified and impounded.
You can have a modified car, just don't get caught street racing with it. Seems fair to me.
Dolt? You had better open your eyes. You don't have to be racing to be pulled over. Ever go to a car show, or Viper meet? Give this a read. In Cali, no less. It seems just owning a fast car will be considered "Intent" under the draconian enforcement that may be coming.
They are only seizing cars involved in street racing.
There is also another law that sort of piggy backs the above law, that if you are caught going 50km over the speed limit they will seize your car. I have heard of many instances of that happening but they don't seize it forever, you get the car back. I'm not sure what the amount of time is, perhaps it has to do with court cases and so on?
But I have heard of people getting their cars back.
However, if you are caught street racing, it is seized permanantly.
