Something tells me that you are probably right on the money there. If the statements made in the suit are all true and can be proven, the Hogan's are much worse off if they allow this to go to court. A jury would lick their chops on a case like this.

Too bad they didn't move quick enough. I would imagine that in a market like we have had, they would have been able to hide a sunstantial amount of cash if they had liquidated one of the two palaces they own.

You can be damn sure that there are a number of forensic accountants on the plantiff's side looking at every red cent in each estate right now.

Juries are supposed to be fair and impartial. A plantiff attorney on the other hand...

Far be it from me to sing the praises of plaintiffs' attorneys even though I am one myself.

But what about the defense attorneys ? You spoke of them parading people up there to denigrate The Marine's character.

Of course they are going to be fair and impartial, right ?

If that was your brother laying there you would have a different opinion.

I guaranfuckingtee it.

People like you point the finger and wag their heads until it happens to them or a loved one. Then they change their tune.

I speak from experience, not from what I read on the interweb.

Out.

It's one thing to play the game.

It's a whole 'nother realm to chase an abulance.

Does anyone else think this lawsuit is the reason the Hogans got divorced? So they could split the money thus preserving at least half of their assets before this lawsuit hit the fan? Just a thought.

Not urban legend. Your boys dangle because spermatogenesis takes place much better 2 degrees below body temperature otherwise God/Evolution/Mother Nature woulda tucked 'em up inside where they'd be safe from the dreaded "cup check".

Boplaw, I take it from your comment that you noticed the two different law firms that signed the complaint.

A few other people mentioned damages and although I no longer practice that kind of law, I can tell you that the $5-10 million range sounds right. Boplaw would be way more qualified to comment on what the range may end up being, but it certainly would have been cheaper if the boy died.

This should be a wake-up call to anyone who talks about their street racing exploits on the internet and especially to those who post pictures or videos. That shit doesn't go away and a hardcore PI lawyer may be able to find it and link it to you. And if you think those comments are damaging now---in the criminal trial they would be devastating if admitted. I think Nick still has pending criminal charges stemming from this incident.

As for the other driver being named---I think that's only because he was driving Hulk's car. They don't give a shit about that pissant, what they want is another set of policy limits to go after. I'm not sure how it works in Florida, but th
