I've lived here 30 years. I've been to Disney three times. Today was the third. It will be at least ten years before I go again. If I am still alive.
I hear ya. The first time for me was in 1985, the second was in 2000 with Mrs O & two out of three kids, & the last time was with the whole family 2 1/2 years ago. That last trip was enough. I'm all Disneyed out.
We took the kids there last year( 2nd time for them). Funny the answers you get when you ask questions to a 4 and 8 yr old. I asked them what their favorite part of Disney was on the flight back home. The reply.." The pool by our room"! My thoughts on Disney.." How much did I pay for this trip to wait in lines a third of the time?!"
I was just at Busch Gardens in Tampa last week. Nice time, NO crowds, and the food was good and very reasonable. The staff was very friendly and well trained, and most actually spoke Engrish.
I marked a bit of territory before leaving of course!!
Last time I was there was when only the magic kingdom existed. My kids believe I'm treating them inhumanely since they have never been there but I do remind them every year when we drive by how close they are to the park!!!! I guess I'm a bad parent!!!!
Why was it so bad? I'm thinking of going there this summer with the family.
Disneyland is fun, but you'll be on your feet all day long. If you spend a week there, you'll need another few days off for your body to recover. Unfortunately, when you get back, you'll need to work twice as hard for the next three months to pay the tab you've racked up inside the Disney parks.

It's big. Really, really big.
I gotta say, Disney World is probably the best, most well-oiled machine of any business and any industry. It is amazing how organized and well kept that place is and how every employee is courte
