Geraldine Ferraro defended her controversial comment that Sen. Barack Obama's campaign was successful because he was black, telling an interviewer Tuesday that she was being attacked because she was white.
LOL I give her credit for having the balls to say that about Obama, but if she thinks she's getting attacked becasue she is white she should examine what would happen to the political career of any white man for saying the same thing.
She told a FOX News interviewer, "I got up and the question was asked, 'Why do you think Barack Obama is in the place he is today" as the party's delegate front-runner?
"I said in large measure, because he is black. I said, Let me also say in 1984 -- and if I have said it once, I have said it 20, 60, 100 times -- in 1984, if my name was Gerard Ferraro instead of Geraldine Ferraro, I would never have been the nominee for vice president," she said.
There's nothing "racist" about what she said. You can't keep dumming down opinion by claiming it's racism .
On top of that, she said as much about herself and her own VP bid.
How the hell is she 100%, the voting polls show a younger crowd voting, not just blacks. In addition, many blacks are voting for Hilary and Obama is getting the younger votes (high school seniors, college and grad students).
about time someone steps up to the plate. its so true
the country is caught up in it because over the last decade urban culture and diversity has been crammed down our fuckin throats
I am so sick of school because of this. they are brainwashing students. they teach in most of my classes that if you don't have people from every culture you won't have a successful business
I think it's great to see a minority candidate run a viable campaign, although I won't be voting for this one. I'd have no problem voting for Colin Powell if he ran though.....
The same liberal media, who claim to be so open minded, are the only ones making an issue out of race.....pretty hypocritical, but then again the liberal media often is. Objective people are just following the issues.
I would love to see a few corporations, with zero agenda, to do an experiment where they group work teams by general race, and evaluate their performance...when I say zero agenda, I mean I don't want them to have a preference in the turnout..
I have a feeling there will be a lot larger differences than people expect. I don't know which will do better than the others...but I can say this. The media and a lot of people won't like what they here. The truth has been masked for so long.
And I quote Jack Nicholson from A Few Good Men, "YOU CAN"T HANDLE THE TRUTH"

See my recent racism thread. Performance, ethics, morals, character etc. are all mostly a function of the environment in which you were raised and have nothing to do with genetics. However some of the sample teams in your test would have a disproportionate exposure to a bad environment which would show up in their performance.
It is a fact that many of Hillary's supporters vote for her solely due to her gender. In kind, there are many blacks who vote for Obama for no reason other than his skin color.
Now, if we went back to the days when women & blacks couldn't vote, the above problem would simply go away.
LOL I give her credit for having the balls to say that about Obama, but if she thinks she's getting attacked becasue she is white she should examine what would happen to the political career of any white man for saying the same thing.

90% of blacks are voting for Obama. Is 10% what you call "many?"
As for the younger vote, they are and always have been too busy getting drunk and laid to make a difference. In fact, a candidate could pretty much call the young voters a bunch of naive mellonheads who shouldn't even have the right to vote and if anything it would probably help him more than hurt him.
She was on NBC nightly news tonight defending herself, her statement, and her resignation from Clinton fundraisers. Instead of the typical "withdrawal and crawl" apology she didn't back down, held her ground, refused to apologize, and turned it back on the Obama camp claiming they were the ones that took the quotes to the media and ran with them. So, good for her.
