Kazmaier was stronger than Anderson. Even Kazmaier most likely is not the strongest man to have ever lived but he is up there and certainly a dominant force in World's Strongest Man in his day. Even now with people pumping way more HGH and roids into them than in Kazmaier's day, people have not upped the weights from his peak too much. Of course some dolt will mention people bench pressing over 1000 lbs now but that is with the assistance of vests that can add 300 lbs to your press now-a-days.

Yup, 722 is the world record bench with just a t-shirt on. If I can get my motivation back I will beat that record, as I was only 100lbs off from it 2 years ago.
Watching Kazmaier in that vid deadlift 950 brought back memories of watching Lee training with me a few months ago and he repped out with 855 for 3. I thought that was pretty impressive, but he is quite shorter which helps out a lot I would think.

Do you even bother with vests? I just don't get the point. Why not use a forklift to help you out and claim a 15,000 lb bench? I typically just think of someone who pisses me off or the jerk who cut me off on the way into work to get a few more pounds out of a lift.

I was on the power lifting team at A&M way back in college , benching 315 at 148 lbs.....squat and dead were good enough to win the Texas teenage power lifting championship for my weight class when I was 19 ........things have since changed..,lol..

I thought it was Mendelson at 715. At any rate, a lot of people speculate that Kazmiaer would have gotten at least 700 if he didn't suffer his injury that I believe he got at one of those strongest man competitions. The man was a beast. I remember old footage of the race to load a track with full kegs that were in a pile 10 feet away. While everyone else would pick up a keg and run over to the truck, hoist it up, then run back for the next keg, Kazmaier would just pick up the kegs and throw them the 10 feet into the truck

I never wore one, nor do I acknowledge anyone who uses one.

far out! I'd be very pleased to pump out that much weight. I know I could take stuff that would make it easy, but doing it all natural on a very sporadic work out schedule, well those last few lbs to get passed that 300 mark has proven hard for me. I'm gonna do it this year tho. It sounds so wimpish in this company
