This is one of the craziest threads I've seen in a while....it's hilarious! OKRA has no redeeming value to society. She, just like everyone else has her opinions on subjects, but who really cares? As previously stated, she is uneducated, unmarried, not a mother (well she is one kind of a mother!), and totally opinionated to the liberals, liberal side. What purpose does she serve? NONE, absolutely NONE! She is a waste of people's time and energy that could be put forward to doing things like, completing an education (which she never did!), WORKING A JOB, raising a family properly (knowing where their kids are!), keeping up their OWN property, having some self esteem and above all things having some integrity. Things that are lost in a society of laziness, taking, taking and more taking, and having NO personal responsibility. Why doesn't she promote those things in life instead of her out and out BS? Thanks for listening, of course it's my opinion, and like a navel, everyones got one!

The most impressive thing about Oprah has to be that she is an unwed, motherless, uneducated black woman that rose from poverty and an abused childhood to build herself a billion dollar empire. Not to mention all of the spin-off success that she has created, or the ongoing philanthropic efforts that she either subsidizes or facilitates.
I don't have to watch her show to admire her accomplishments.
I suppose that pro athletes making hundreds of millions of dollars also enrages you to the point that you are out in the streets campaigning against professional sports?

Michael Schumacher never went to college. He drives 200MPH and has had several car crashes in his day. Yet he's a spokesman for driver safety and the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization. What a douchebag. We should all boycott Formula One and educate our friends and families to do the same.

While I agreed with the argument that looking to Oprah for real life advice was pathetic I certainly also admire the fact she has accomplished more in her life than most of have to date - including me.
If no one wanted what she offered she would be unknown.
The fact we do not want to waste time listening to her is irrelevant when millions of others apparently want to... great to be her.
