Speeding ticket thrown out!

My little sister got a speeding ticket for 22 (they say) in a 10 mph zone. This was her SCHOOL parking lot, and they were busting kids left and right. Now, it's almost impossible to go 10mph, but that's not the point... they pulled her over 5 feet from when she started rolling from a stop! You can't even get to 20 in that short of distance in an eclipse!

It was a cop "sting". But the kicker was, the 10mph sign was posted up THAT DAY on one enterance, and it wasn't a real DOT sign.

So, my mom went to court with like 50 other parents today. They had the case thrown out, mom said they didn't have a leg to stand on. The sign was posted by the cops a few hours before, and it was not a real sign! Nor was it posted at the main enterance and IN the parking lot. Also, it's not listed in the student hand book either.

The cop gave her a 300$ fine and 4pts for that bullshit! Yeah, lets stop some kids from going a normal speed in a school parking lot.. fuck the real criminals on the road. It was funny, it was after school hours, so all the kids that were busted were honors students and athletes LOL!!!


Fuck'em. They were mean to her too.. I don't take kindly to ANYONE who makes my little sister upset.. I mean shit, did they have to ask her to get out of the car? If I would have known I would have been up there (and prob in county for assaulting an officer LOL).

I know a few cops and they are stand up guys who really help the community but stuff like this puts a bad taste in my mouth.

bwaahahaha non DOT signs aren't law, at least not here. The malls and schools throw up stop signs all the time and you can run them and get away with it, it's private property and the owners of the properties put those signs up.
