They are having a season opening bash in my town tomorrow, Scranton.
They are expecting 120,000 people (the city has 70,000 residents) to show for a three day bender. Tickets were $250 per, about 14 cast members are holding several small "meet and greets".
They closed most of the streets, closed my school, The Today Show is broadcasting from my campus. I literally can not get within a mile of the down town (all five square blocks of it).
And get this, one of the PA senators is from here, and he plans on coming, so the Secret Service was on my campus today watching them set up crowd barriers and the stage and you are not allowed to bring poles or beams to hold signs.
I love that show, watch it every week....someone here was talking about how they went running and came back and their nipples were bleeding and all i could think about was the season opener when that happened to the new guy in the 5K run
I have been doing some client work in Moosic. I feel sorry for you if you grew up in Scranton.
Compression Polymers? They are about the only company worth coming up here for.
And the city isn't so bad. Theres some neat things to do, and there is a bar, church and funeral home on every block (I am literally not kidding - we have FOUR operating homes on my school's Campus). Coming home from Philly every now and again this past year has been nice. The city is nestled in a valley and the people are rather pleasant.

I visit one of the newer buildings on top of the hill next to the baseball stadium off of Glen Maura National, near the Starbucks and that large strip mall.

Oh I gotcha. We call them the cloak and dagger buildings. They are usually only about 50% occupied. I dont know how the owner covers himself there. There has been a for lease sign out there for as long as I can remember.
It's the same guy that owns the mall, that corporate complex, the Glenmaura golf course and housing development. He is rollin' in it.
Drop me a line next time you are in town. We can grab a drink.

Will do, it will probably be next week, Wednesday or Thursday. We can do burnouts and neutral drops in the rental car.

Gary, I was born and raised just down the road in Wilkes-Barre. Who told you the Secret Service was in town for this event? Someone has their facts wrong. They do not do protection details for Senators unless it's a presidential candidate who can justify the need, like Obama. Hillary gets a detail too but that's due to her being a former First Lady (and I use that term lightly in her case).

There have been a shit-ton of Suburbans with Govt tags running around. When they were erecting the stage that Roker used to broadcast today, there were three parked in front of it.
Maybe it is just a rumor - but there is definitely a conspicous presence of cars with Govt plates.
I used to date a girl who lived in Kingston. Those valley girls are psycho. Holy Chirstmas.
