I found an old direct connection (prior to it being mopar performance) shirt in my dads attic. I asked if I could sell it on ebay. It was brand new in the bag, probably 25 years old. He said sure. It sold for 90 bucks to some dufus in japan.
I was told a story about how a girl sold her Dad's Levi's from the 50's that had only been worm once for $2500 on Ebay..
When she mailed them off she asked the buyer what HE was going to do with them. He said he could double his money on them buying selling them in Japan..
I actually don't do anything to make side money, but I did go to a hobby store auction, and spent $6K on a whole bunch of toys and stuff. I am eventually going to sell some of it off on Ebay to help pay for the lifetime supply of B-day presents for any kids in the future.
Draw cars, fiberglass/composite work, car stereo installs, model cars/jets/tanks/etc. and I used to laser cut/engrave some things. You would be amazed at how much people spend on stupid shit during the weekends!

I'm a textile jobber by trade so it's in my line of work. The denim Jeans come from various sources a few being comexinternation.com and a site called salvagesale.com

Starting companies that compliment existing businesses I have...
For example, a real estate firm that leases properties back to the main firm to make money... A car company that leases cars back to the main firm to make money (provides a layer of protection to the main firm - and allows all vehicles to fall into this LLC)... A UAE 'project coordination' firm that subs 1099's back to a smaller firm - clients pay the UAE firm - monies are treated as income once brought back into the US - 'if' brought back into the US...
Etc etc etc... I have always gotten a kick of starting firms that leverage each other - including Kelly's new Texas LLC...
I used to work at Ernst & Young - and always read their tax guides like novels - although I had zero to do with tax or audit...
Anyways, my logic has always been to surround myself with firms - therefore almost everything is an expense - as well as an investment...
Oh, and I did sell a couch yesterday on craigslist for $800...
My main job is a Service Manager of a Mercedes, BMW and VW repair facility.. I know you didn't ask my main job, I work with a local tuner at his shop with a dyno in my spare time.
