Someone made the suggestion that I might be able to make a little side business from taking pictures of people cars. At first I didnt think much about it; but the more I think about it, the more I think there might be something there!
What if I offered to take pictures of people cars - I could even arrange for a model if they wanted a girl in the pic. Maybe work up a Car Cover series if they wanted something like that (pic of their car on the cover of a magazine). Shots could be in a studio or in a location suited to the owner.
Just curious - dumb idea or think there might be some interest out there?

It's a good idea ! I would love to have a picture of my car along with some very nice hood beef draped all over it.I would have to be in the picture also,just to prove that it WAS my car.When are you coming to calif. ?
You know, if I lined up a few people I could wing it. I know a bunch of models in the LA and SF areas and people could pick the girl they wanted in the pics. I'd have to see how to make it work financially; but might be an interesting thing to try!

My wife seems to think its a good idea... so thats a bonus! lol
I was thinking that I could do it similiar to when you get a family portriat done - you pay a "sitting" fee and then you buy your prints. So, basically there would be a base price which maybe includes includes some number of prints. You then pick from the contact sheet and then order the qualitity and sizes of the photos you want. Custom stuff like a magazine cover would be additional.
Topless.... hmmm..... I would say it would depend on the model, lol!
