I'm not sure who John Casablanca is, but I've been taking pictures for a long time now and while Virginia may not be the hotbed of model talent - there are more than a few girls here that are quite good at what they do.
It's not a big deal, her reaction is fairly typical of most women who don't have what it takes or lack any real understanding of what is involved (and there's nothing wrong with that, mind you). Assuming a girl is a "bimbo" simply because she is a model is usually just a defense mechanism covering their own insecurities.
