I'm considering picking up a fully loaded black one this weekend for the old lady, and of course myself for those late night trips to the McDonald's drive thru for a hot fudge sundae w/ nuts. (And no, I don't have a gay hairy Mexican friend at McDonald's that does anything with fudge, so I beat you guys to the smack, LOL!)
My question is, does anyone have any knowledge of these cars, and can tell me how good they are and how well they hold up.
Basically looking for feedback.
Thanx guys.
Neat cars. I was considering one last summer, but ended up buying my E55 instead.
IMO, they are a great bang for the buck. They've gone 12's bone stock. Well optioned, comfortable, great looking.
I also have a Grand Cherokee SRT8 with the 6.1 liter Hemi...it's a heckuva' engine.

It is alright. There is a lot of plastic in it, which swayed me away and I ended up getting an M5 instead. For what it is, it is a nice car. The Jeep SRT8 is Bad Ass!
I guess I should add that it's a used 06 with 10k miles on it, and I think I can get it for approx $33k.
I don't think it's worth the $50k for a new one.
My main concern is the transmission, because we all know Dodge has a problem with those for the past 20 or so years, with the exception of the Viper.
That's a good price, and would still have the factory warranty. I would ask if they have some sort of certified warranty that ups the coverage to 100K miles. If they don't, just negotiate down and try to cut a deal on an aftermarket warranty.
Whatever you do, don't throw on those ugly chrome 22's that you see on every other 300.
Mike...they're not $50k new. You can get a loaded one for low-40's. As I recall a loaded one will have the two options groups.

MSRP on a complete fully loaded one is in the low 50's, and invoice is 6.4% back of that. Now mind you, fully loaded is with the kicker stereo shit, and DVD player, NAV, etc. You can build one on New Car Prices | Used Car Values - Official Kelley Blue Book Site and it will show you retail and invoice.
There is a $3,500 incentive on them temporarily right now when you buy new, so a fully loaded one might be attainable for around $43k invoice.
Mike...just looked at a few on eBay. Loaded, with Groups 1 and 2, Kicker, sunroof, rear seat DVD is $48.2k. I think that's up over the '06's...which as I recall were around $46k loaded.
There are a few very low mileage '06's on eBay in the mid-30's. They deal you're getting is probably okay, but bear in mind, there are still new '06's on dealer lots...and they're selling well into the 30's.

I did find a new 06 on a dealer's lot, but just called them on the phone, and talked to some cocky guy in the fleet/internet sales.
I will only buy a black one. I guess I like my cars totally opposite of my women, big and black
I absolutely LOVE mine. Great to buzz around in, looks wicked for the most part, and has all the goodies for a long road trip (fully loaded).
Bone stock drivetrain for this run (easy to bump up with intake & exhaust):
Of course your bride may be like mine: With the Goodyear F-1 Supercar tires standard in warmer climates (All Season RSA's further north) it rides a little rough at times. 20X smoother than a Viper, but it ain't no Cadillac....
Damn Chris! That's the same set-up as I'm looking at, as far as having the same grill!
I like the out to dinner sleeper deal!
It reminds me of 1987 all over again when my uncle came home with a new Grand Nash. He was all excited about it because it was a classy out to dinner car and yet a hot rod all in one.
The only thing I dislike about the 300, is once again with Dodge and the overweight thing.
I have 5 srt8's right now and haven't had a single problem with any except for noisey brakes from time to time. These are great cars and can take alot of abuse. They are not Mercedes, but they are very comfortable and drive nice. They are probably the best 4 door option for under $40k out there.
That looks cool, but I already have the Viper as my sports car, and I need something that is a little more distinguished for going out to a fancy expensive restaurant like Red Lobster or Sizzler.
It looks like you have had 5 offers on it though, so at least you're getting some action.
What the hell, you're having a liquidation sale over there!
I guess I'm not doing to bad for the same car for $32k w/ 10k miles then.
You're in CA so you got those nasty HP robbing emissions on your motor vehicles over there.
Do you own a shop that sells cars, or are you just dumping all your stuff?
