It's like a time machine!
A really, really ugly time machine:
eBay Motors: Cadillac : Plymouth Volare (item 270134714552 end time Jun-26-07 07:57:53 PDT)
Sorry, but with the tumors, motorcycle victims, and innocent caribou being slaughtered all over the Alley these days, I had to add a similar post.
The scary thing is that I am oddly attracted to it just because it is such a goofy find in automotive history and is pretty cheap to boot. Only 200 miles since new some 30 years ago? Kinda cool in some weird way.
But I prefer the 2008 Viper green myself...

Some how I don't see him getting his $7,500 for that thing.
Chris, I wouldn't trade your Viper in for it

In the mid-late 70's, cars and music sucked. I remember that when those things were a year old, the fenders started to rot off the unibody. It was so bad that the Volare (and Aspen) were recalled to have the fenders replaced.
Avoid that thing like the plague.

My first car was a 76 eggshell white Volare sedan with a brown vinyl roof. I beat the piss out it but it kept right on going.
Brings back memories.

Iacocca's "peoples car" for America just like the Volkswagon was Hitlers "peoples car" for Germany.
You got to love half vinyl tops and fine corinthean leather!

Anyone remember the Cheers episode when Sam got rid of his Vette and got a Volare'. He came into the bar and everyone started singing the song from the Volare' commercials.... V-O-L-A-Raaaaay. Damn I just posted on another thread that I was staying young while everyone else gets old. Then I go and admit to remembering the Volare' commercials. Shit!

With disco being as big as it was, I'll say that 95% of the music sucked.
