"Speed Racer" the Movie...

...is finally gonna be made, not animated but a real movie. It was just announced the "Doc" from "Lost" will play RacerX. I don't know about you but this was my favorite show when I was a child

Hopefully they will take their time and be creative with it so it doesn't turn out like "Redline".

Emile Hirsch is playing Speed. He was in that Lords of Dogtown movie. As for Chim Chim, I haven't heard anything about that but I'm guessing that he will be CG. I talked to a friend who is working on it in Berlin the other day. Apparently the race stuff is pretty out of control.

Christina Ricci has her hair jet black right now, unless she changed it in the last hour. She was a pretty hot blond for that film though.

Hirsch looks the part, clean cut dark haired kid. I think John Goodman as the father will be good!
