A - Hollywood Knights Hysterical, sick cars, brilliant.
B- American Graffitti - Goes without saying. John Milner...The man..
C- Two Lane Blacktop - Very rarely known...James Taylor and drummer from the Beach Boys racing across the country in a 55 Chevy versus a Street Squirrel in a 70 Goat. The REAL beginning of street racing. Raw. Movie drags but anyone who's street raced will appreciate.
D- Cannonball Run - Funny as hell and some very sick cars !
E- Fast and the Furious 1 - I know, I know..... Here's my reasoning... The movie has defined what these kids now are running / respect today. Reason I find it interesting??? Anyone who's seen it would / should notice that the FEW American cars in the movie are destroyed. Asian director makes a point of it. They all either lose, or are destroyed.
To me, it should drive people to either restore or make their American made cars sick enough to prove these people wrong and show them the way it should be done.... I know it does and will for me...
( Gumball Rally also included in this and Death Race 2000 w Stallone in it ).
To anyone out there looking to sit down w a few beers and watch some cars, I'd suggest these for different reasons.....
Bullit for sure. American Graffitti was a great movie.
Long shot Vanishing Point. The star of the movie was a Hemi Challenger running hard halfway across the country with uppers, weed and rubber to burn. A cult classic and one of my favorites
Does it have to be a real car? The Dead Pool had a pretty sweet R/C car that could keep up with a Caprice. Other than that I would have to say Hollywood Knights, Gone in Sixty Seconds, Cobra (Sly had a Bad Ass 50' Merc.)

The first time I watched "The Last Race" made me want a fast car, of course I was nine at the time. I think it starred Lee Majors and Burgess Meredith and had something to do with racing towards California. Oh, and it a had a jet that was trying to stop Lee from getting there. Good movie back then, probably gay now.
