(nevermind the two gay guys on the right)
See the kid, he's so happy just to get a chance to see the Viper up close. He looks like he just met his favorite rock star idol. This is just one aspect of being a Viper owner that doesn't really get regognized by Vette owners (probably cause they don't understand for the simple fact that it doesn't ever happen to them). This is not to flame Vette owners, but is intended just to point out that owning a Viper is truly a unique experience.
One day when I had the viper out I went to McDonalds for somethign to eat. When I came out to the parking lot a bus full of little kids from camp where all filling out towards the car, a little unnerving but they just wanted to look. Thank God they were all very respectful of the car.
Vipernathan,
Get a fuc@ing life. It happen's to me all the time. That's why
EVERY kid that ride's their bike in my neighborhood stop's
and ask me about my corvette when I wash it!
I agree Viper's get more attention, but to say corvette's
don't get any is a blantant lie!
Are you sure that is'nt you and a buddy taking a stroll
by that Viper?

What the fuck are are you talking about? You are a kid that drives some old Joe Blow car. You don't have a viper or a vette.

Dear red,
I am hardly a kid, please don't hate me because I can drive a car that you would get under Clinton's desk for. I would love for you to post up what car you drove at the age of 20 while going to school. I'm sure a car worth 8X's your yearly income was feasable.
Please return to patting your own back, Mr Champion of the parking lot. Legend in your own fucking mind. You gonna take Tony up on his offer to run at a real roadcourse or are you just gonna be a big pussy?

Feel the burn! How does it feel to have been napalmed by a 20 yr old? Hang your red rump over the side of the boat and baste the poor raw roasted thing in the cold water.
That picture was taken at a local race event. I was asked to be the pace car for a 5K run. After that they asked to have the car on "display" for people to look at, which wasnt a problem. Kids and adults had lots of questions which I was more than happy to answer.
The "kid" in the picture had been walking with his dad (same shorts). He stopped dead in his tracks to take a look at the time I was taking a couple photos.
There were also some kid races where they asked again if I would be the pace car. This was funny becuase the races were like 50 yards. When the first shot was fired, I looked in my rear view mirror and saw all these kids running at my car! They had a contest to see who could "touch" it first, in my suprise I chirped the tired and they loved it. Each race after that was to see is anyone could catch the car.
It was a great day to be a Viper owner - so many kids go to sit in and play around the car. It was a blast!
I've owned a few Vettes (the latest an '01); but the reaction is nowhere near the same. If you havent owned a Viper, you dont know what I mean (no offense, 95yellow; just two different animals).

Lnow where Coevettes are thought of as being cool and the best thing on earth? Corvette boards. You're at a Viper board, I stated that this wasn't a flame and that Vette guys don't get as much attention. You don't like what you read at a Viper forum? Then you know what to do. Doubt I'm the one that needs a life here.

dude, you are posting on the wrong board. No offense to you personally, but i think you must live in a fairly rural place if your corvette gives you any attention. Vettes are a dime a dozen car compared to the viper. Sort of the same as if a viper and a McLaren F1 parks in the same parking lot, the Viper won't get the same level of attention.
Is it lack of sex that makes you so defensive? Get a viper and you'll have the female attention you obviously need
Craig,
At the age of 20 I was on active duty, in a force unit, in the United States Navy. I was finishing my 2nd year of college and had been racing motorcycles for a long time. It's funny that a little punk that plays with dolls would have the audacity to ask. Especially a mothers child that has not done anything for himself, his country or probably even his family.
What car did I drive,,,,hmmm, I believe at 20 I was in my 1986 Ford Mustang. It was the first year of FI and my car at that point in my life, like myself, could/would kick the dog shit out of you personally and on the track. My car would fucking KILL that POS you currently have.
And Craig, you little boy. I didn't feel the need to play with dolls. I was serving my country. (My country is also much better than yours)
Little boy, you need to understand that the Internet is not just a game. There are Real Life consequences to the things you do on line.
Packet, sounds like a fun day for you and the kids that saw your car that day. What you wrote is what I was trying to convey, guess some Vette owners can't relate because they've never felt/experienced what Viper ownership is like.
Wow check out that witty reply, you must have had to stop breathing in order to put that ringer together!
Now you're going after my country, talk about reaching for insults. I couldn't give 3 balls of rabbit shit how you were on active duty, congrats, give yourself another whole hearted pat on your back for a job well done.
Now we come to your car. The mighty 5.0 mustang, a car that couldn't handle the turbo Omni's of the day and a V-8 that was so choked up, the minivans of today would lay such a beating on we best not talk about it.
I must also congradulate you on your use of e-thuggery in terms of kicking my ass, I admit I am mighty scared with your masterful keyboard whipping that I will now fear you nightly in my dreams. I'm not too sure where you're getting this doll thing from, but you get a gold star for thinking that one up all by yourself.
Now please go back to your faux-pas Z06 and practice your apexing in your subsidized housing plot. Remember you can add any neato wheels you want to a normal c-5 but it's still not a Z06, (not even a 2001!)
Face it man, you want a viper more than you want to be straight. You don't see any of our members here at any corvette forum pretending and carrying on like you are.
