Sounds like a threat to me. That would be a mistake.

Sounds like a struck a nerve, not having the mentality to keep up with a 20 year old brain when you're such a screaming success like Red5 can be frustrating I'd bet.
I'm really not too sure what mr big bad "I don't know how to make a wireless internet connection" thinks he could do to me over the net.
But yeah, sounds like a threat don't we have a rule against that?

Let's just call this "The Day Red5 Went Mental". That's about as close to the line of threatening someone here as you can get without facing some consequences of your own. It's OK to go mental every now and then, just don't do the threats thing man.
You've urged us to consider tolerance toward others around here, so I'm perfectly willing to just let this one die and scuffle the dirt over it in the interest of moving on. I would suggest, however, that you have a chip on your shoulder about Craig. He's not a punk, obviously isn't trying to put you down about car ownership and he has a lot to contribute here. Maybe y'all should just avoid each other for a while.
Peace bruthas.
PS-
Red, I re-read the sequence above fairly carefully and noted that you teed off on Craig without any provocation after he said something about having driven the Viper to a McDonald's. You said "What the fuck are you talking about? You're just a kid with a Joe Blow car ..." Perhaps you were under the impression that he was lying. He's not. He doesn't own a Viper and has never said he does. The Viper is in his family ... father's or uncle's or something like that. Which is why he's such a Viper addict. He gets to see it all the time and drive it only occassionally. He's neither a liar nor a poser, just a kid who's a Viper fanatic. Why hate on that?
Not for nothing yellowvette..But I do have avette..Love the car, but you cant compare the vette in anyway to the Viper..I dont care about the ZOSHIT or whatever you got..Look at how many Vipers you have on the street, and then look at every fucken corner..A dime a dozen on the Vettes..SO common, your in a Viper room..Chill out..Youknow the deal here..Don;t hate the playa bitch, just hate the game..And please dont go up against me , unl;ess you wanna get bitch slapped on the board..powwwww wowwwwwwww..slapp it baby!!!!!!!ps- your vettes looks like a fucken bumble bee... Is the yellow the saem running down your back??))

This was not really called for. This thread has allowed some bad blood (heck, i'm probably as guilty of that as anyone else) but please, this is not really needed nor wanted. I take it this was just badly formulated wording and nothing else. We have rules in place for behaviour such as this, rules that we hoped would never be needed.
So, lets move on from this episode and try to be civilized.
It was not meant as a threat. Just an observation.
There are many of you that have children. In this day and age with Internet chat rooms, web pages and discussion groups your children will grow up with a much different perspective on how to conduct themselves than you did.
Think of what it does to a persons ability to communicate when they grow up in a world where if they are unhappy with how things are going they can simply turn it off. Or change their name.
To be able to say whatever they want, to ramble and act stupid knowing that they really are not accountable for their actions. To exists in belligerence, and a made up personality, A made up intelligence, a made up person. To Never have to look in the mirror and find accountability. To feel that there are no real world effects stemming from their behavior.
It would be similar to having a kid that only lives in fantasy world, but can never play well with others in real life. Lack of interaction and a strond dependence on being basically nothing.
Having had grown up without chat rooms means that most of us will understand that there is in fact another person on the other end of the comments. And to a certain degree we will act accordingly. Yes, we also like to sling a bunch of shit at each other in the general interest in having fun but we do recognize that these are other people we are dealing with.
Funny that you remark on conduct in a "chat room" in a thread started for the sole purpose of demonstrationing the attraction of the Viper. Not to mention the "kid" in the picture is out enjoying a 5k run with his Dad versus staying at home playing his Xbox.

I wasn't aware Red5 was a sensitive guy...Who's up for a GROUP HUG!

The statement was not about this kid. It is nice to see this kid is out doing something with himself. Such as running in a marathon with his Father. It is always nice to see a family doing things together. Especially when it is something mutually benificial to all.
