Thanks for the birthday greetings folks. Nothing too big planned (who wants a birthday on a MONDAY???)
We'll probably do a small dinner out and then Friday will be the "night out".
Mom already called and sang Happy Birthday to me - an annual tradition. Musical aptitude DOES NOT run in our family, this is reaffirmed every year.
I keep thinking that sometime I'll start to feel my age, but haven't yet. it's funny when you see folks that you know are close to you in age and you are like - "no way - they are WAY older than I am" Perhaps it's because we have no kids, so I think I am always younger - ha ha ha.
Of course, 29 isn't all that old anyway - right Toby????
Today - for lunch, I get to go to a local animal shelter and pick up a dog that has been starved, is heartworm positive and who's owner turned her in. But - if we can treat her, get her adopted, etc., I really can't think of a better present.
I an really lucky to consider you animals my friends!!!!!

Happy Birthday Janni. Good luck with your new pup. For your birthday I wish starvation and heart worms on the former owner. How can people be so cruel to animals?
Another year older but Janni's still hot
From her most of these other drivers
Could really learn a lot.
One time she might be serious
Or at times she may be funny
And when she leaves you in the dust
You realize she's a honey.
So have fun on this your B-Day
Be a kid and slide a slide
Take that chocolate and martini
And scream "WOO HOO what a ride!!!"
