Watched three episodes live last night. Truck vs. Truck, Snowmobile vs. Snowmobile and Truck vs. T.A. Well, by buddy lost his ass (and his T.A) last night. I didn't realize that when you lose your ride, PINKS gives you $$$. He apparently got enough $$$ to purchase another POS T.A. I guess that takes the "drama" out of "lose the race, lose your ride". Saleen99, where were you last night?
Hmm...I didn't realize that they gave the loser money. Kind of takes the excitement out of it.
I'm going to give them a call. I have 2 or 3 cars I would love to race and lose. Beats trying to sell them in the auto trader and having all sorts of people that can't afford the pieces of crap call and want to argue me down a thousand bucks or something stupid like that.
A friend of mine was on that show and raced go-karts.He won and said the dude he beat bought the kart back for 10g's.
I didn't know the show gave them money,no wonder they don't seemed that pissed off at the end.
I've heard all kinds of stuff about the show in general.
Like, they make you sign a "no tradeback clause" meaning you have an agreement with a fellow rival before the show that whoever wins, you'll sign the title back over after it's all said and done.

When the show first started it was like that where you actually didnt lose your ride....Now your shit is GONE!!!!
Sorry Kllymartin. I was on the starting line for most of the time. When all of the oil was being spilt alllll down the track by about 5 of the cars, I was driving the truck and checking the track. If you were there you should have told me and would have brought you down to meet Gavin Jerome and the crew from Pinks. I was the only idiot that didn't have a jacket on the whole damn night!! Got really cold there at the end. But the track was great for it being so cold. What did you think?
To clear everything up, the reason why money was given was because catastrophic failures to some of the cars. The broke down during the first race of the episode so they didn't even get good footage. And yes they did lose their ride and received money due to not being able to race anymore. The guy that was paid and got blew his motor on the first run, was the faster truck and most likely would have won. This was a rare thing for Pinks and the crew. As to blackhawk, there has only been 2 cars that have been given back to the original owners. That was done because the cars broke down and they wanted to prove that they can beat them, they didn't want to win because of failures like that. And people that race their cars do not get paid.
The funny thing is, I was down on the track, behind the starting line. I think you ran me and the group I was with, back to the stands. Was that you driving the VHT truck? Anyway, I'll be sure to call you next time.
Lol no I don't run anyone away from the track. I am the laid back one. I had the black hat on with the Pinks blueish shirt. I also have a gotee! I think that you are talking about Trey which is the Track manager. I am the other skinny one that works there. What is your email or how do I send pictures?
