A mouse farts in the middle east and gas prices can jump $.10 in an afternoon. North Korea supposedly blows off a nuke or two...and gas prices continue to drop. What the ?
Pretty simple...the middle east is a major source of imported oil, N. Korea is only a source of headaches.
I understand that...it just seems that with the threat of escalating tensions that this would give the oil companies a reason to jack it up....seems everything else does? I ain't bitching...just seems so out of character.

Elections are weeks away and once the cards are dealt prices will change directions.
Oil companies owe big favors
I'm kinda surprised this recent tension with Venezuela isn't causing prices to rise. Behind Canada and our own supplies, Venezuela is the number 3 supplier of oil to the U.S. They even supply slightly more than Saudi Arabia, and the last time I looked, like three times what Iraq supplies us.
