Any body else watching the IDF muster a powerful invasion force on the Lebanese border? The ground assault should be most impressive.

Israel has issued an evacuation order for southern Lebanon. There are massive buildups of armor and troops at this point. Watching the Lebanese and whoever try and repel this will be funny.

It is about 7pm in Israel and the Sabbath is about to start. I just cant see a night assault nor can I see an assault starting on the Sabbath (although that is OK) Perhaps the new Merkava 4 thermal and night technology is about to give Israel the night.

This thing is on.

Nate. With the type of topology in the area, this means that Armour isn't going to have the ability of the gulf war of rolling in.

With that many troops dismounted, this opens up for more of a gorilla type defense?

If the ground force is going to be needed, does this mean that the attempt to pattern a 'Gulf War part 3' is not going to work?

Dont let the terrain bother you. We are not talking real mountains. It is more along the lines of Central Texas hill country. Think The HighRoller Compound...only probably a little smaller.

This is not the first rodeo for Israel in that area anyways...think 1982. Armor does just fine in that area. If it is indeed an all out ground assault Israel will take some hits but Israel is just an overwhelming force, they will go as far as they want.

I just hope there is no fucking cease fire before the jobs gets done. If there is, they will just have to go back later. Finish it now.

I don't think there's a snoball's shot in hell of the Israeli's agreeing to a ceasefire until they accomplish all of their objectives.

I really hope they just push on through Syria while they're at it and adjust the attitude of all those terrorist fucks.
