Thanks Lucifer I just got an email from a dealer who has a silver one in stock (like Ripper's). They offered me the EP deal, all the options navigation, sunroof, DVD ect, MSRP is $45K they are offering me $39,973 + tax + licensing. RIPPER how's this deal compared to your deal? I'm considering going down today or Wed. and see what I will get for my '05 Hemi all options and 15K miles.
Kelley Blue Book trade in Value has it at $25,600.
I'd be interested to know what you guys who have one think about the suspension and steering. To me, the track-type setup is so different from other SUV's (and the vast majority of cars) that in my limited experience so far I've found I have to be very delicate with steering inputs at anything over 60-70 mph. The suspension is pretty stiff, so there is little to no body roll to give you a red flag as to how quickly you're heading in another direction. Then when you combine that with very quick ratio steering and virtually no play in the steering wheel, if you're not careful it's very easy to steer too much. I did a left/right lane change maneuver yesterday at ~90 to get around a Left Lane Larry on the interstate, and wound up a few feet farther left than I intended at first, then 3-4 feet farther right when I came back into the right lane, then kind of wiggled back and forth a time or two as my minor steering corrections to get things back where I needed to be were still a little too much. I really think it's probably a good overall setup once you get used to it, but it's definitely sensitive to steering inputs, which is much more of an issue at higher speeds.
Of course this is not unlike the Viper in some ways, but you add another 1,500 lbs and AWD and raise the CG a foot or so and it's a very different sensation.

Sounds like my Viper when I put a "track" alignment on it. I had my 5.7 Hemi on Willow Springs roadcourse 2 weeks ago, lots of push. I will take the SRT out and go Porsche hunting on the track, I beat a few with my 5.7 bet the 6.1 with suspension & aero will fly.

put some redline power steering fluid in and flush out the stock.

Mine has the exact same feel and took a little time to master "fast lane changes"
It is definintly very quick and almost too responsive.....
Almost needs a different steering ratio , but Im used to it now..
