So i just got back from my girlfriends graduation a couple hours ago, made me get to thinking. How long ago did you all graduate....and just for shits and giggles what the best memory of high school for you all? I still got two years left and i already got plenty, so imagine ya'll got a few.
I remember the party's, the friends we made and the relationships we had during high school.
The educational stuff is dull and boring so its long forgotten.
The drinking age was only 18 waaaaay back in '79. The high school was only a block from the beach. I had 7 girls packed in the Dodge Polara one day (yes, one in my lap) and headed off to the package store to buy beer when it opened. Spent the day at the beach with about 50 other classmates.
It turned into almost a weekly event all through my senior year as long as the weather was nice.
Drinking and driving was not as offensive back then as it is now. We had stores with names like Keg Town USA that had any kind and size of keg beer you wanted with stacks of rental taps on hand.
I learned to drive with one eye closed after a late night of of drinking because I was too drunk to focus on the double line and it became four lines. Close one eye, problem solved.
It's the stupid stuff that you'll remember the most when you get older.
I had a small aluminum boat with a 20HP motor in high school. Yup, keg party on the boat while anchored just off the beach. Had too many people swimming up and climbing on and we finally sank it.
The movie "Dazed and Confused" was just like my high school years.
My parents didn't think I was going to live to see 25.
The freedom and lack of responsibility that you take for granted now, is what you'll miss the most when you get older. Enjoy it while you can.
graduated in 1971. Best memory, I missed the draft. My birthday was picked 76 and they sent up to 53 that yr over to Nam. I think I got underwear older than you Casey, several pair...
I think Ray from NJ just about summed it up. We did have the Senior cruise to the Bahamas and the infamous drunken breakfast at McDonalds on cap and gown day though! Attachment 13042

Fuck, I graduated from high school in 93. If I can give you one piece of advice, it's bang all the hot, young poon you can get your hands on. It won't be long before you're married and have tons of responsibilities.
Wow - now I feel old - Thanks! I graduated in 1986!
My best memory has to be prom night! I went to high school in Hawaii. Our prom was at the top of the Princess Kualani Hotel in their magnificent ballroom. Afterwards, a group of 6 of us went on a several hour catamaran cruise around the island and I really got to enjoy my date!
I didn't feel like a high school student that night - I think it was my 1st real taste of adulthood - being pampered at the hotel then on this awesome cruise with a gorgeous woman at my side! It was the one night that definitely stood out the most of my high school years!

Have fun.
Good advice Kenny. I think I'll try that before the marriage/responsibility thing catches up to me.
Dang - 28 years ago. My memories from high school are of rock concerts and keg parties. I'm sharing the same hopes and fear that my parents had now that I have a 16 year old daughter.
