First, I don't mean to offend anyone that watches this pathetically low talent karaoke hack job program. My parents watch it and I have more respect for them than I do for anyone, so please don't anybody get upset if I say that show is the poster child for the "train wreck" metaphor.
That being said, 50 million people voted last night?!!! Holy shit. My questions are.
1. Do voters have to pay for each vote?
2. If so, how much?
3. If so, how much does Fox get?
One more thing. I know, if given the chance, I could produce an entertainment program that could produce similar profit margins so if anyone has connections to the big shots, put me in touch with them. There will be a kickback in it for you.
Don't watch it much Chuck...as a matter of fact I have this year because I get a hoot out of watching Hicks. But you can't argue with the power of TV and the way it markets these folks before AND after the show. It was stated last nite that the various winners and almost winners had run up something like 10 grammy's or grammy nominations and 90+ number one records. That is pretty impressive no matter how good or bad music is these days.
The guys that left last week and this week (Elliot and Chris) are pretty good. What ruins it for me is that no talent, seizure having, gray haired jackass is still on the show. It's not about talent...
First I will admit that I watch the show, it started as entertainment to watch all the absolute idiots who actually think they have talent. Simon is pretty funny.
I actually like the gray haired fucktard, he kind of reminds me of a Bob Seger or Joe Cocker. I know that is giving a lot to him, but I think he's the real deal.
I also thought Chris was pretty good and Katherine has just about the best fuck me / cum on my face eyes ever.

Pic or link?
The only time I watched that show I was disgusted that I wasted so much of my precious time. The Alley is better entertainment than that, even with the clones...

Yeah, this is a pretty good (IMO) assessment.
I don't know if I'd actually watch this show on my own, but my wife loves it, so I enjoy watching it with her. She really gets into it and votes at the end. That's when I go to sleep.

I record it and fast thru emotional nightmare abdu's reviews. Very entertaining show when you can cut the hour down to about 20 minutes. But I'd never bother to actually vote!
I quit watching TV 10 years ago. Really, I never watch it.
A bar I go to has SPEED channel on and I look at it with the sound off but that's about it with me and TV. I do watch movies from net flicks also but that's it..
Wife and kids tried to get me to watch it for several years. I spoil it by watching one show when there are like 6 or so left, and pick the winner each time!
Really, the average talent level is so low, it doesn't take much to pick the one that might actually win.
I know some shows bill your phone company each time you vote so I was trying to figure the potential revenue stream from that. So the voting thing is a barometer for Fox.
