My 1st was Jose Feliciano, 1970, Municipal Auditorium in Austin. I was 12.
Once I moved to Austin, I pretty much lived at the Armadillo World Headquarters hustling foosball, drinking beer and listening to great music. Saw Freddy King there at least 10 times. Frank Zappa, Commander Cody, Ray Charles (who gave the audience a lecture on the evils of the burning rope), Marshall Tucker, Pure Prarie League, Willie, Jerry Jeff, Little Feat, shit.... the list is endless...
Austin was a hell of a good place to live as a kid in the 70's. That place corrupted me for life!

Fun thread to read!

Ron, I saw him at the Armadillo in Austin too but Jose Feliciano popped my cherry long before I saw CDB... I always felt I was fortunate to enjoy rock & roll and country music. I saw you like Aerosmith. Man, I was a jumior in HS when they got popular and I loved their music too. Still do. I was listening to Toys In The Attic just yesterday while plowing.
Bands I never saw that I wished I had would also be a good thread. For me, that would be Led Zepplin, Pink Floyd, Aerosmith, and Lynyrd Skynyrd...

My first show was at the Caberet Metro in Chicago.
Kreator / Voi Vod
The "Pleasure to Kill" tour.
1986.
I was a changed man forever that day...
Foolie knows what I'm talking about.
Holy shit, what a blast from the past! Especially Kreator, I remember the punk asskicker dude from highschool whom listened to them who I heard it from - I wonder if I listened now, if it would sound any good...
For me; Crosby, Stills, Nash, and Young at the Capital Center in the Maryland suburbs of Washington, DC the first year it was open (1974/1975, I can't remember. hahaha!)
'76? KISS ALIVE TOUR
'77 Ted Nugent
after that, every hard rock band I can think of.
Saw Judas priest 5 times, man they were loud!
Sold my tickets for Lynyrd Skynrd to a friend a few months before thier plane crashed, that was a real bummer.
The first concert I went to was Milli Vanilli. Yeah that's right, you youngsters look that up. I'm just shitting you guys. But seriously though, even though I am not a country music fan, my first concert I saw was Kenny Rogers when I was like 12 years old or something. My Mom really wanted to go so she took me and my sister.

'77 Nugent was that the stadium tour with Journey and others? In went to that one in the Meadowlands
Coma of Souls (1990) sucked. Yet from the review above I think I'll look up the Violent Revolution and the Live Kreation/Revisioned Glory DVD.
Jay K.
Note, I searched Amazon for Kreator and found the album Enemy of God listed which is from early 2005 - it's not described in the long text on your link but the album cover is shown there. And just searched Buy.com, better selection available and prices than Amazon.

I think he came to Mpls w/ Black Oak Arkansas, yup, Jim Dandy!!!
Nugent was so loud back then. He would lean back into the huge amps and strum his guitar,,,, his hair would blow straight back like he stuck his head out of a moving car!....... man, those were the days. I think that's the concert my school buddy lost alot of his hearing from

Doood ... Armadillo World Headquarters was where I spent most of my senior year! That and drinking beer out at Lake Travis or The Stallion Bar & Grill on Lamar. And that's during the school week.
I can't believe we didn't know each other. Man I spent so much time playing foosball with those hustler hippies who lived down in the basement.
