In a flat spin, the axis of the spin in an F-14 is nine feet aft of the tail section. The surface area of the F-14 vertical stabilizers exceeds that of the surface area of the wings on an A-4 Skyhawk. I wonder if the wings on that model actually sweep as a function of airspeed.

No Man,
Did not look like they did. Good question though... who ever owned it was quite good with it. I was impressed with the landing.

Any idea how long it will be before some Muslim POS figures out how to load it with explosives and fly it?

Our top version is called the global hawk and can stay up for 42 hours or more. It's not exactly small.

A gas turbine for an rc can cost up to 10k a piece! Some of these guys have 60k+ in some of there planes you can get gps's,altimeter's,tach's that all send info back to your transmitter. There is a video of a guy in Germany that has a gas turbine rc that will go 180 to 200mph and that is by radar not scale. I fly the props 40mph is fast enough for me to get into trouble quick!

It's retired. Last one flew a month ago or so. Check out the Navy section on Military.com.
