Batman Begins...
Batman Begins....
and Ends with Christian Bale.
This was the very first Batman for the People.
Powerful music.
Powerful acting.
Powerful everything including credible weaponry etc.
(There was little need to suspend reality with all of those BEAUTIFUL shots of CHICAGO)
I work right next to the Sears Towers Downtown and it was great seeing all of those shots put together.
FYI, I claim Responsible Fatherhood Status for not seeing it the night it was released or during the IMAX run either!
DAMN!
Batman for the People, not Batman for Hollywood.
I NEED a Sequel!!

The sequel is coming in 2008. Its already in the works. The bad guy is the joker and I hope they don't over do it. I would have liked to have seen a villian that hasn't been done yet but whatever.

I was plesantly surprised when I saw it. I was expecting another Tim Burton cluster-fuck or some acid trip induced adaptation.
I hope the series continues w/ Bale.

Saw it, bought it, love it! The others were campy like the TV show. this one was dark and sinister like the comic book.

Movie was done well, with the right mix of action. The whole story sounds plausable in fact.
I like the car as well...
I give it a full rev grade....
I'm Whitebeard Ebert, and this is VA movies.....
Next we will be reviewing 'Two girls for every girl' a romantic lesbian comedy...with lots of action.......

Christian Bale is good in everything I have seen him in, especially "American Psycho."

I preferred the first one. I did enjoy this version but they detuned him to be just a rich guy in good shape with expensive toys. The evil opponents were just mean guys with a Bond villain agenda and the far eastern martial arts Kwai Chang Cain origins were something I had never heard of before. Mind you I haven't read a comic book in 20 years so that might be the current Batman.
Tim Burton only did the first two films and they were a lot better than the last two. I think Bale is the best Batman yet though. He is a great actor and doesn't need a padded suit to look like he can kick some ass. I will definitely be looking forward to the next sequel.

Pretty ironic, as we just watched Batman Begins again last night for the first time since seeing it in the theater (twice). It really is an awesome flick. While the first Batman was great with Nicholson and even a little bit darker, everything went downhill from there.
Glad to see this one did so well that it is worth a follow up - because it is!

Banging TWO hookers AT THE SAME TIME while flexing your muscles, videotaping it, and watching yourself in the mirror is even more gangsta!
