Going to Atlanta soon with some family, doing touristy things, wondering about a hotel to stay at that is in walking distance from anything interesting, e.g., downtown, like one would do in DC or NYC - are there any good options?
I've stayed over by Phipps plaza and there is alot within walking distance. Atlanta is so spread out though, it's not all centrally located. The Coca-Cola plant has a great tour that is worth it, especially with kids.
There was a post here recently talking about the new ATL aquarium being pretty nice as well.
The W (Weston) is probably one of the nicer hotels in ATL, make sure you book the one with the revolving bar/restaurant on the top. I think the rates are pretty reasonable from what I remember. Four seasons is a nice one too. The aquarium just opened up and it the largest in the US - I have heard it is pretty cool. CNN is here too and I believe they give tours although I haven't seen it myself. Fish Market is a good place to eat and kind of a landmark (50 foot fish outside of it) nice place to eat.
Come on guys!!! You know Slaughter is really looking for info on the best strip clubs and best places to pick up pussy. Come on. Don't bore him with tourist attractions and restaurants!!!

Alright well that's something I know. ATL has only 2 strip clubs you need to know... Cheetahs (classier) and Pink Pony (trashier but fun) ... Nightclubs would be Vision (super club), Compound (super club), T&G (smaller but great talent).
I'm already quite familiar with locales such as Pink Pony actually So what I am looking for is hotels (if any) near the typical tourist stuff, e.g., CNN, Coke, Aquarium, good restaurants, etc. Each time in the past, I've stayed somewhere different, and not particularly close to anything but malls on the NE side.
Yeah, well, someone on my mother's side of the family is related to the Studebakers and they went to see John Edward's Crossing Over and they asked him to call "The Brothers" and they told John to tell them to tell me that I should build cars for a living. The cars would sell themselves, you know.
You are like GotAViper in the chat room - "No dude, it's all part of a BIG plan. You'll see. I meant for it to fail. I told everyone on purpose that I was poor. Dude, come on. I got to hang out with hot girls on the weekends. I'm boning one of them! How much is that worth to you? It's all a big plan, you'll see!"
Do you get off on making shit up on the Internet? You could at least pretend you were the King of Persia or something. Make your bullshit entertaining; right now you're just some dumbfuck from Colorado with some magic fabric and his thumb up his ass. Get more creative, son!

Well, first of all, it's *HOT*. Even this time of year. To stay cool when visiting Atlanta, it's always a good idea to wear a white, loose-fitting garment, like a sheet, covering both your body and head. Since it is predominantly Christian, it's best if you sew large red crosses on your sheets, too. Then just stroll around, and learn why Georgia is called "the Friendly State."
