Meet Junior. He's a 3-year old Bulldog who lost his home. Kasey and I are taking him in. The transition will be a tough one for Jasper and the cats, but Junior is such a good dog that I'm sure it will be relatively painless.
Pictures are from my phone. I'll take better ones later tonight.
awesome Gregg! I'm sure that dog will give you years of loyalty and love!
Congrats on the new pet. Now go clean up his shit, throw the sneaker he just chewed up in the garbage, vaccume up all the dog hair he left everywhere, repaint your door that he scatched the shit out of trying to tell you he wants to go outside & feed him! Dont forget about the inexpensive visit to the Vet . Sounds like soo much fun! LOL
So, which one of you will adopt one of my wife's shitball cats?
Bring'em to the 4B, Schill. We go through barm cats out there like RS goes through Crown. They'll have a great life while providing their services in the form of rodent control. This helps keep the rattlers away from the barn and feed rooms. There are a few inherent dangers for the cats but if they're smart, they'll last a good while.
Look at that little panzer--all chest and head. I can't believe anyone could part with that kisser. Clearly, he's got no shortage of personality. Best of luck with him, bro. I'm sure he's going to be responsible for a much higher tonnage of joy than steam log.

There's also this option, Schill:

Either or both would be thrilled to assist you with your problem if the proper persuasion is employed. I'd recommend a slab of top cut sirloin or the long-legged Standard Shieveoodle that lives down the way. Both boys like her puffed from a fresh grooming and adorned in her Forget It Unless Your Canine Junk Is Remarkably Equine collar.
Doood, you scored with this guy. Quite a face. And it looks as though he and Jasper are settling into each other already. That's cool to see. I was hoping it would work out so he can stay.
What's his story? Any idea why his former owners gave him up? I know it's unavoidable sometimes, but I don't think I could just deposit a good old friend like your new boy at the rescue and not friggin' despise myself. The upside is that he's got a better home now. Doesn't seem as though he's had any trouble making himself at home.

Jasper will warm to him as soon as Junior realizes whos house he's in. He's doing fine by the way, and thanks for asking.
As for Junior, his owners are having their third baby and the wife won't be able to handle 3 kids and the dog because the husband is gone alot. I have known Junior since he was a pup, and they were very particular with where he was going to end up. They love Kasey and I, and know that Junior will be well loved and live a great life with us.

I'd guess, based on most of the BDs I've met, that he won't give Jasper any trouble about who rules the roost. They're pretty laid back dogs. Jasper'll swing a little nut at him, and that should do it.
At least it sounds as though he's merely moving from one good home to another. It's actually a good thing if they no longer had time for him. I have no doubt you and Kasey are going to make sure he gets his fair share of good livin'. Does he seem affected by the transition at all?
I feel a little violence toward the esteemed members of the putz bridage who get a dog and then flee from the responsibility when it's more than they expected. I'm considering fostering another Leo who was returned to my breeder because the owner "didn't realize he was going to get that big!" Great reason to bag on a dog. You don't bother learning about the breed you're buying before you buy it, then blame the dog for his mastadon proportions. Nice. I don't know, maybe that he was 30 lbs. at eight weeks was your first clue, Nitz.
