These pictures are from some late night scouting last weekend. Pictures were taken with a 6.3MP digital SLR, but didn't have a large flash. I took my apparantly all black pictures and adjusted the contrast/gamma and brightness.....this is what I got! One gorgeous 10 pointer and a nice 8 that apparantly has been doing quite a bit of fighting and/or rubbing! (check out the right brow tine and the 1/2 missing left antler).
The 8 looks great. I wish the 10 were a better picture. Not bitching either because I understand how hard it is to get a good shot of these guys.
I've done the same thing having to increase brightness and contrast when a picture comes out dark. What digital SLR are you using? What lens? I use a Canon Digital EOS (Rebel). That's worked out nicely so far since I have several different lenses that fit my 35 mm EOS that work with this one too.

I'm heading back out this evening, how about you?
HA! I am using the EXACT same setup...an EOS Rebel Digital, and I'm using the lenses my father had for his 35mm EOS. I believe I was using a xx-300mm telephoto (not sure of the smaller variable range, i'm at work now)....they work great.
Nope, my hunting property is about 2.5 hours north of me, I'm heading up again first week in December, as well as the last. Not as nice as being ON the property!

Where abouts?
Hog Whisperer is supposed to be braving the Canadian cold for a little snowmobiling weekend this winter. Perhaps a little detour is in the cards.
